John’s hotel career is based on a solid foundation having worked in all operational departments throughout his career in hospitality resulting in a “grass roots" understanding of operations from the ground up. From Elevator Operator to Bellman & Doorman; Front Office & Night Audit; Sales Manager to Director of Sales & Marketing and General Manager and now President of Braidwood Hospitality Management Inc.
John has accumulated over 40-years experience in both Hotel Operations and Sales & Marketing within small & medium sized hotels, major urban convention hotels and regional offices. His experience includes sales training recruitment and selection and hotel management within independent, franchised and owned hotels. His career has included working for Hilton International, Commonwealth Holiday Inns of Canada, Crowne Plaza, Four Seasons Hotels, Renaissance Hotels, Marriott Hotels & Resorts, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Choice Hotels, Canada and a variety of other independent hotels and resorts.
John’s expertise includes Financial & Business Planning, Asset Management, Hotel Operations, Human Resource Management, Training and Sales & Marketing. Braidwood’s management team is comprised of hospitality professionals and associates with expertise in all areas of the hotel and hospitality industries.
